Luisa Sausedo grew up in San Francisco. A three year stint in the Navy as an engineer brought her to Southern California. While in the Navy, Luisa found she had a passion for writing. After leaving the service, she enrolled at San Diego City College where a coun
selor suggested the Journalism program might be a good path for her to explore. After only one semester, Luisa was appointed Sports Editor for the City College paper, The SD City Times. Luisa’s experience as a student athlete allowed her to combine two of her passions. She quickly embraced the opportunities she was given even though she had no previous experience writing about sports. Luisa is excited to play an important role on campus while enhancing her journalism skills. Luisa spends her free time with her dog Candi and her boyfriend Jason. She credits both of them for supporting her in her nascent journey into the world of journalism. They are excited to see what the future holds.
