Another successful scholarship reception is in the books. SDABJ gave out scholarships to four deserving students. Luisa Sausedo and Bo Chen-Samuel both received $300 to continue their studies at local colleges. Caitlyn Keeve, an Eastlake High School senior will have $1000 to help defray costs when she starts at Mount Saint Mary’s College in the fall. SDSU junior Kiara Martinez received the $1500 Ozzie Roberts scholarship and will continue on her path to a journalism degree.
Luna Grill was our food sponsor and offered up a wonderful spread that included beef, chicken and veggie kabobs.
SDABJ wants to thank NBC 7 for allowing us to hold the reception in their brand new building. President and General Manager Dick Kelley was on hand to welcome the guests.
None of this would be possible without the rest our sponsors: iHeartmedia, Wawanesa, the Old Globe, The La Jolla Playhouse, Broadway San Diego, CW 6, and the San Diego Regional Airport Authority.
