The San Diego Association of Black Journalists is proud to present this year’s recipients: Diana Guerrero, a Lincoln High School student is very active at her school and aspires to work for ESPN. Diana was awarded our Debra Stephens High School scholarship. Dominique Barrett attends Mt Carmel High School. Being the student representative to the Poway Unified School District is just one of many things keeping her busy until she graduates in May. She is looking forward to what the future holds after she gets her journalism degree from Howard University. Point Loma Nazerene junior Jordan Ligons is the Ozzie Roberts recipient. Her goals are to start a magazine that inspires and empowers teenaged girls. The National scholarship awardee is Renee Summerour. Renee has been in and around broadcasting and is thrilled to cement her experiences. Hear from all of our students in this video produced by Elroy Spatcher.
