SDABJ Panel Discussion: Microaggressions in the Newsroom

Please join the San Diego Association of Black Journalists for a panel discussion on microaggressions in the newsroom.  We will be examining the subtleties of communication between colleagues as well  developing sensitivities in how we are covering stories in minority communities. The panel will consist of Dr. Vangie Akridge, KPBS reporter Jade Hindmon, NBC7/T20 news operations manager Donna M. Stewart, and Fox 5 San Diego reporter Maria Arcega-Dunn. The discussion will be moderated  Dana Littlefield from the Union-Tribune.  NOTE: This is only open to members of the media. The hope is to open the door for helpful, healthful conversations. Please join us on Thursday October 25, 2018 at 630p at the iHeart Media Studios, 9660 Granite Ridge Dr. San Diego CA 92123
