With a dramatic “ripped from the headlines” topic, this year’s participants in SDABJ’s Pro For a Day workshop had a golden opportunity to hone their reporting skills. Under the watchful eyes of the professionals, budding journalists were tasked with producing a story for online and broadcast. Mock news releases were created by the students interested in public relations and the entire day’s events was captured by a staff of the photojournalists .
